			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Houston Area Association for the Education of Young Children (HAAEYC) is offering a new training opportunity for the early childhood community of Houston.  The event, &#8220;Connections &#8211; Linking Research to Learning&#8221; will take place on August 1, 2009 from 9:00 am &#8211; 1:30 pm.  Participants are encouraged to arrive at 8:00 am for a tour of the beautiful Children&#8217;s Courtyard facility located at 16255 Longenbaugh, Houston, TX 77095.  Attendees will receive a certificate for 4.5 clock hours.  The mini conference will include training in three areas: </p>
<ul>
<li>Special Needs &#8211; Attention Deficit Disorder</li>
<li>Creating, Evaluating and Enhancing Your Lesson Plans Through Brain Research</li>
<li>Creating Quality Early Childhood Environments</li>
</ul>
