GHAIMH

The Greater Houston Association for Infant Mental Health (GHAIMH) is an affiliate chapter of the Texas Association for Infant Mental Health (TAIMH) and is dedicated to supporting the healthy emotional development of infants, toddlers, and their families. GHAIMH is a local organization whose mission is to increase awareness of the critical importance of the first three years of life, support conditions that enhance the quality of infant and toddler/caregiver relationships, advocate for policies and practices that support the healthy development of young children, and educate the birth-to-three workforce in best practices.

Join GHAIMH!

Membership in GHAIMH is open to parents, other family members and professionals who impact the lives of children. Those professionals include social workers, pediatricians, early interventionists, lawyers and judges, researchers, child advocates, foster parents, therapists, child care providers, nurses, educators, psychologists and psychiatrists, child life specialists, and others.

In addition to participating in GHAIMH/TAIMH committees, receiving the quarterly newsletter and participation in GHAIMH/TAIMH events, members may join the World Association for Infant Mental Health (www.waimh.org). WAIMH members receive its newsletter, The Signal, and the Infant Mental Health Journal, and can access the WAIMH video library and join the WAIMH listserv to facilitate communication among members worldwide.

Membership fee:  $55
